5 Finnish Prospects Poised for a Breakout in the 2020-21 Liiga Season

The COVID-19 pandemic has threatened to push back if not take away hockey entirely in some leagues across North America, but it’s full steam ahead (mostly) in many European leagues. The Finnish Liiga, for example, aims to start their season on October 1st (assuming the pandemic’s spread remains relatively under control).

So, as hockey life carries on in Finland, so too does the scouting season.

To kick things off, I’ve put together a group of five breakout prospects for the Finnish Liiga, all of which have varying odds of ascending to those heights. Since it’s something of a companion piece to Mitch Brown‘s article from last week taking a more global look, I’m going to steer clear of Nashville Predators prospect winger Juuso Pärssinen.
