EP Rinkside Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 16 Ranked Arizona Coyotes

The Arizona Coyotes are just a few years removed from being widely considered a team with a top-five prospect system in the league — and that may feel a little disheartening for a fanbase that’s still chasing their first playoff appearance since 2012.

A mass roster turnover between the end of the Don Maloney era and today, though, has cleared the way for the bulk of the team’s most promising young players to graduate to the NHL. Under-25 names like Clayton Keller, Christian Fischer, Jakob Chychrun, and Nick Schmaltz have all already hit the NHL full-time, and some of the team’s other recent draft picks have been moved out for immediate help.
