EP Rinkside Prospect Pool Rankings: No. 25 Ranked Winnipeg Jets

As many teams discover, the life-cycle of a prospect pipeline is hinged nearly exclusively on maintaining high picks. Once a club moves out of the lottery realm and into the world of trading away first-round picks or selecting well into the 20s, they suddenly find themselves lacking cheap, entry-level contracts pushing upwards. The Jets are no different.

It seems like just yesterday this team was boasting the most tantalizing group of youngsters in the league. Well, now the majority of those former kids are making big dollars on their second or third contracts. What is left lacks elite upside. But it’s not all doom and gloom in Winnipeg. They have some interesting players coming up in each position, and it’s up to the Player Development team to help mould them into a polished form.
