Scouting Report: U18 5 Nations Wrap-Up, Part 2: Sweden & Finland

SUNDSVALL, Sweden — In the second part of my review of the Under-18 5 Nations tournament, we’re going to look to the performance of Sweden and their neighbours to the east in Finland.

The two teams put in strong performances led by a handful of standout players that caught the eye. They’re the subject of today’s article.

Team Sweden

Sweden entered the tournament without two of their top prospects in Alexander Holtz and Lucas Raymond, as they suited up for the Under-20 Swedish roster at the 4 Nations tournament in Helsinki, Finland. They were also without Oskar Olausson, who’s since returned to play from injury, and Helge Grans who suffered a concussion training with the national team prior to the tournament’s start.
